Basic Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines

  • The speed limit is 5mph. This includes all vehicles, scooters, and bikes 

  • Vehicles: Vehicles must stay on the roads and designated areas only. Off-road driving is prohibited along with driving through vacant camp sites. No working on cars in sites. 2 cars maximum in sites.

  • Quiet hours are 9 pm to 8 am. Please be respectful of neighboring sites no matter the time of day. 

  • RV check-in: Noon; check-out 11 am.

    • We do not allow check-ins after dark.

    • Please ensure you stop at the stop sign upon arriving to the park. Please go into the office for further instruction so we can assist you in getting parked.  

  • Cabin check-in: 2:00pm; check-out 11 am. 

  • Guests: The office must be notified beforehand. There is a limit of two guests per party unless previously authorized. Any guest that stays after midnight will be classified as an overnight guest and may be charged accordingly. All parties are responsible for their guests and may be held liable for their actions.

  • Smoking: No smoking inside any cabin, building or the hot tub. Offenders will be liable for no less than $300 service charge. Cigarette butts are trash, should be treated as such, and disposed of in a responsible manner.

  • Trash: to be deposited in one of the four dumpsters located around the park, not into fire rings. Please keep your sites neat and tidy at all times. Bears are very active here. No trash is to be left out on your campsite or in truck beds.

    • Failure to leave your site in a tidy manner will result in a $25 clean-up fee. 

  • Hot tub: Swimsuits are required. An adult must accompany children under 18.

    • The hot tub is by reservation only. Reservations should be made with the office so a code can be provided. Please abide by the posted rules.

      • No smoking in the hot tub.

      • No glass bottles.

      • No urinating in or around the fenced area. The restrooms are located nearby for use.

      • Please make sure the gate is closed and locked when you leave. 

  • Laundry: Open 24 hours a day. Please do not leave your laundry unattended, and when finished remove it from the machines in a timely manner for other patrons to use the facility. Laundry left for more than 10 minutes can be removed by guests or staff members.

    • No laundry lines or hanging laundry in sites.

    • Detergent pods do not work in our machines. Please use liquid soap. We have it for purchase in the camp store.

  • Showers & Bathhouses: Open 24 hours a day and are cleaned daily. Please treat them as your own by keeping them clean. Remove all personal items after use. If there are any issues, please let the office know.

  • Water use: Due to our ongoing drought conditions, no washing of vehicles is allowed.

    • If there is a leak coming from your RV, staff may turn off your water connection immediately. 

  • Firearms: Discharging/displaying of firearms is prohibited. Offenders will be asked to leave immediately. Law enforcement can/will be contacted at the discretion of staff members or other guests.

  • Campfires: Please only use the provided fire rings or propane firepits.

    • Fires must be attended to at all times and completely extinguished before leaving the campground or going to bed.

    • Campfires will be prohibited at times due to weather conditions or fire danger.

    • Please consult Fremontco.com for current burn ban information.

    • Gathering of firewood or sticks throughout the campground is not allowed.

    • Firewood is for sale in the camp store.

  • Trees and vegetation: Please help us protect our trees, vegetation and natural resources!

    • No screw in hammocks.

    • Do not climb on our rock walls or flower beds. 

  • Hiking: Please feel free to walk and hike around the campground. Please be respectful and do not cross any boundaries onto adjacent properties. Please stick to the prepared trails and do not remove or disturb any of our precious natural resources.

  • Wildlife: We have a wide and varied range of local wildlife that calls Mountaindale and the surrounding area home. Please respect them and do not chase after, disturb, feed, or otherwise attempt to physically interact with our friends. Please be patient with them and enjoy the natural splendor they present as they coexist with us here at Mountaindale.

  • Pets: We are a pet-friendly park.

    • Your pets must remain leashed, even in your campsite. You are expected to clean up after your pet regardless of where you are located within our campground.

      • Aggressive dogs are not allowed in the dog park and will be asked to leave the premises if they display aggressive behavior.

      • No pets in campground buildings.

      • Do not leave your pet unattended outside of your RV, even in a fenced area or on a lead.

      • Black portable pet fencing is allowed, but dogs are not allowed to be left unattended.

      • Failure to clean up after your pet prior to departure will result in a $25 clean-up fee. 

  • ATVs: ATVs & Golf Carts are allowed to be used by customers if prior permission is given by the office. They are only to be used on designated roads keeping within the 5-mph speed limit. They are not to be used for joyriding around the park.

  • Children must always be with an adult.

  • Please note; if you did not pay to ‘lock in’ your selected site; you may end up with a different site number upon arrival.

  • Please always respect employees and other guests while staying at the park.

  • Mountaindale campground is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur on our property. Guests are legally responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their parties.

  • We reserve the right to change these rules, regulations and guidelines at any time. Failure to abide by them or any other rules of the park may result in the campground refusing service to the offending parties.

Cancellation Policy 

Thank you for choosing to book with our campground. We understand that plans can change, and we want to make sure you are aware of our cancellation policy.

  • 25% non-refundable deposit taken at the time of reservation

  • If you cancel your reservation 30+ days in advance, we will allow you to reschedule and apply your deposit toward another stay within 12 months from the time of cancellation, less a $20 administrative/cancellation fee.

  • Please be advised that if you cancel your reservation with less than a 30 day notice, you will not receive a refund and your deposit will not be transferable to another stay.

  • In the event that you cancel your reservation with 7 days or less prior to your arrival date, you will be held responsible for the full balance, including any monies still owed on your reservation invoice. These funds are not refundable and will not be transferable to another stay.
